Lighting Technicians — sparks — are the hands of the electrical department, rigging and operating the lighting setup that the gaffer and DOP have designed. On an independent film set, sparks are expected to work quickly, safely, and with minimal instruction — understanding the shape of a lighting setup from context and contributing practical knowledge to make it work. We value lighting technicians who bring physical energy, technical knowledge, and a constructive attitude to long shooting days.
