The Hair Stylist is responsible for the design, preparation, and continuity of all cast hair throughout the production. In close collaboration with the costume designer and make-up artist, the hair stylist contributes to the visual identity of each character — from period-appropriate styling to contemporary looks that tell you something about who a person is. On indie productions, the hair stylist is often part of a combined hair and make-up department, requiring versatility and the ability to manage multiple cast members efficiently.
