The Role

The Sound Editor works in post-production to clean, organise, and enhance the dialogue and effects tracks captured on location. On a film that has been shot in complex acoustic environments — which describes most independent productions — the sound editor's work is the difference between a film that sounds like it was made for twenty million and one that sounds like it was made in a car park. We look for editors with meticulous ears, experience in dialogue editing and ADR supervision, and the patience to solve audio problems that seem unsolvable.
