The composer creates the emotional architecture of a film that cannot be achieved through image or dialogue alone. On an independent production, the composer works closely with the director and editor to understand the emotional language of the cut, then develops a score that deepens the film's thematic resonance without announcing itself. We are interested in composers who have a distinct compositional voice, who can write with restraint and with scale as the film demands, and who understand that the best film music serves the story invisibly.
