Screenwriters are the foundation of everything Indie Matter makes. Every project starts with an original screenplay and the writer's voice shapes the project from the first line. We work with writers at all stages: development deals on original ideas, assignments for projects we are producing, and open development relationships with voices we believe in. We are not looking for writers who write to formula. We want writers with a genuine point of view, a command of dramatic structure, and the resilience to work through multiple drafts without losing the heart of the material.

Register and include a brief description of your current project. We do read registrations and reach out to writers whose work fits our slate.
Do you offer paid development deals?
Yes, on a project-by-project basis. Terms depend on the stage of development and the project itself.
Can writers based outside London register?
Yes. Development can happen remotely, though we do meet in person at key stages of the process.
